Changing dates due to Covid

We understand that dates will need to be changed because of Corona, here's our change policy:
Our goal is to make this as easy as possible and if we can without charging extra fees,
​but in order to do this there are some key factors to keep in mind. 
  • Shutdown of Events:  If there is a a shutdown, we will adjust to any open future open date that is available (already booked dates are not available) as long as your current payment schedule is maintained.  For instance, if your final payment was due in a few weeks/months but you move to another date but your current payment is still due on the original date.  
    • Payments:  By maintaining your current payment schedule we will waive additional planning meeting charges that would typically be charged when adding these additional months to your agreement.  
  • No Shutdown of Events:  If there is not a shutdown, but as cases rise you feel uncomfortable with still hosting your event we will move your date to another date within 12 months without a fee as long as your move it to any date besides a Saturday and as long as you keep your current payment schedule.  If you move your date to a Saturday there will be a charge of $500 to move to this date.  If you pick a date outside of the 12 months there will also be a fee for this (this is case by case depending on the month you pick) - please contact us for information on this.  
    • If you move to a date and we have a wedding the next day we will need to leave to conduct the rehearsal at the other wedding spot.  So for example, if you pick a Friday then we may need to leave for an hour as we coordinate the Saturday rehearsal, so you'll want to make sure to coordinate your ceremony time so that key Out of Box staff are able to coordinate the rehearsal and make it back in time for the ceremony.  This is something to discuss.  
  • Elopements (adding):  If you wish to host a small elopement and the larger reception on another date and would like our help with the elopement the cost for this is $1500+ (depending on the package).  You can read more about this package here:  LINK
  • Elopements:  If you wish to convert your ceremony and reception to a smaller event - a simple elopement and you do not plan to move your reception to another date in the future your final payments are still due per the original agreement as the bulk of planning has already been completed and we have held this date for you eliminating our ability to book another event.  
  • If your wedding was on a discounted date (Friday/Sunday/or some other discounted date/month) the discount would be no longer be allowed if you move to a non-discount date (Saturdays - high wedding season months). 
  • If you move from a Saturday to a Friday/Sunday/Weekday/or slower month we do not offer any discounts to move to one of these dates but rather we will provide you (at no additional cost) our transition process to move your current wedding vendors and additional meetings throughout the next few added months before your new date.
  • Rehearsals:  If you move to a future date then there may be a wedding already booked the day before your new wedding date.  This would mean that an Out of Box planning assistant would need to conduct your rehearsal as we can not leave the other wedding on your rehearsal day.  Or you may schedule your rehearsal at a time outside of our other duties (ask us about day of rehearsals).
  • If there is a second date change (to a 3rd wedding date) - due to a '2nd Corona Waive' then this may add additional meeting costs - case by case.
  • You'll need to sign a new agreement with Out of Box for the new date once it's picked.  
One again our hope is to avoid any new or additional costs when moving dates - but please keep in mind these above policies.
