Resources (click for info) |
1 - Decide on a budget for flowers, centerpieces, and decor *Please use the resources to the right to figure this out |
|
2 - Pick you overall look and style - Photos are key here - Pinterest is helpful! |
|
3 - Schedule your design meeting & fill out the pre-meeting worksheet |

It sometimes take 2, 3, or more edits to get it correct *Submitting edits: These are typically sent to us in email or we can jump on a call - additional in-person meetings can be scheduled for a meeting fee, but we've found a call works just as well! Please email us with your changes. |
|
5 - Pay Deposit (50% of the total invoice) *After the deposit is paid we will not need final numbers of tables until 3 to 4 weeks before and final payment in full 2 weeks before |
|
6 - Three weeks before - please submit your final numbers & event details using the link to the right of this box |
FAQ
How do we make changes to the proposal?
Changes are normal. You may want to reduce the overall invoice cost, add or changes items, or remove high dollar items. You can make changes by either setting up a quick call (just email Anthony) or if they are straight forward changes you can send a bulleted list in an email of what you'd like changed. Please do not edit the excel file and send it back as we wont be able to use your updated file - formulas often get deleted causing issues. Rather, just send us a list in an email or setup a call.
Can we meet in person about changes?
Our first meeting (if possible) is in person so we can be together in our showroom (downtown Des Moines) - this way we can easily show you items. Meeting to go over changes are typically handled over the phone or you may purchase additional in-person meetings for $100. If you are also a planning client with Out of Box, then we can have a combo in-person meeting with our designer before our Timeline Meeting.
How long is our proposal good for?
Proposals expire after 2 weeks.
What happens if we pay 50% of the total but then when we get closer to the date we only have a small balance left, are we 'on the hook' for the rest?
No, you are not on the hook for the other half of the that original amount. We will adjust the invoice at the 4 week mark and then that's the amount you'll end up paying. We don't want you to pay for items that you do not need, but we are not able to reduce the total more than 60% of the original invoice.
Is there a minimum for floral or decor?
There is a minimum of $600 for all orders. Flowers are ordered in bunches so you may need to purchase the whole bunch when ordering flowers. We can help you decide were to use those (centerpieces, restrooms, buffet tables, etc).
Since we offer large order discounts when you reduce your flower order from your original invoice the new pricing may increase.
Can we hire you for some of the flowers but someone else for others?
Our contract states that we are to be the sole flower designer. You may hire someone else for decor, but not floral.
