FAQ
Aunts and uncles make great sense. But keep in mind that people not actively part of the rehearsal do not come to the rehearsal time, too many cooks in the kitchen and it can make a couple nervous with a peanut gallery – also their hearts should be warm with the surprises the day of the ceremony rather than a not so elegant pre-view the day before. So we ask that you have a formal invite (can be an electronic one) to the dinner only and then the rehearsal would be 1 and a half hours before dinner starts. In other words, guests to the dinner don’t automatically come to the rehearsal.
As for the out of town guests, this 100% depends on your budget, if you can work it into the budget then yes that would be a kind gesture, but it’s not required.
Do partners/spouses of the bridal party get invited?
***Yes, 100% but once again only to the dinner, they should wait in another room or quietly in the back. But they are not part of the actual rehearsal.
Does everyone that comes to the dinner also come to the actual rehearsal at the river center? ... As you can see, all the questions are running through my brain!
***A big ‘no’ I couldn’t imagine being a bride and having like 20 extra people watching me, I think I’d have a anxiety attack, this is private!
Also - do you happen to know of local restaurants that have space to hold a dinner, but don't charge a fee to hold the space? I know you mentioned Fresko, just wondering if there are any other options out there!
****Fresko for sure, and no charge for the room – depends on the guest count, I’d need to know that first. But here’s a link to take a peek at:
