Etiquette and more...

With that here are some helpful hints to keep in mind:
- Start all emails with a kind greeting and the person's name
Details: i.e. Scott- I hope you're having a great day!
- Thank, then thank again, then thank again and again
Details: Even when people are getting paid - we still need to thank them at every interaction. Your DJ, photographer, venue, etc. will work harder for you when you do this.
- Email vs. Phone calls:
Details: Keep emails to simple updates / facts - setup a call to discuss all other items. When emailing send simple bullets rather than long paragraphs of information. The vendor will put a long email on the bottom of their To Do list.
- Texts:
Details: As permission to text, some vendors may say 'no' and that's their right to do so. You'll need to respect their boundaries.
If they do give you permission to text - keep them to 9 to 5pm.
- Difficult Chats:
Details: Setup a call, keep the email when requesting the call light and focus on how things can improve in a productive way rather than criticizing the other person. Sample Email: "Scott- I hope all is well! Would you have some time this week to chat about a couple updates?"
